During World War II, 12-year old Ivan works as a spy on the eastern front. The small Ivan can cross the German lines unnoticed to collect information. Three Soviet officers try to take care of this boy-child.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Victory over Nazism in the Great Patriotic War the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Iceland together with Bio Paradis arrange a special screening of Ivan’s Childhood (1962), a world renown classic film about the war from director Andrey Tarkovsky. This is truly one of the cinema masterpieces that won Golden Lion and Golden Gate Award.
