Finnur þykir skara fram úr í starfi sínu sem hjartaskurðlæknir. En þegar hann áttar sig á að dóttir hans er komin í neyslu og kynnir þekktan dópsala fyrir fjölskyldunni sem nýja kærastann, koma fram brestir í einkalífinu. Finnur ákveður að taka í taumana og er staðráðinn í að koma dótturinni á réttan kjöl, hvað sem það kostar.

Finnur is a successful heart surgeon and father of two. His family’s life begins to unravel when his daugther, Anna gets mixed up with a manipulative drug-dealing boyfriend. As the boyfriend’s grip tightens around Anna and the entire family, Finnur is forced to take drastic measures.

Baltasar Kormákur (Reykjavik, 1966), debuted as a director and screenwriter in 2000 with 101 Reykjavik, in which he also participated as an actor. He has developed his career in both Iceland and the United States. The other works in his filmography to date are The Sea (2002), A Little Trip to Heaven (2005), Jar City (2006), White Night Wedding (2008), Inhale (2010), Contraband (2012),The Deep (2012), 2 Guns (2013) and Everest (2015). He also produces and creates the TV series Trapped(2015), and has directed a number of episodes.
