Ridley Scott’s breakthrough film is an immensely successful blend of horror and science fiction, full of high-tension, great performances and special-effects, making it a classic of both genres. ‘Alien’ focuses on the crew of the space cargo ship Nostromo who land on a moribund planet in response to a faint SOS. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer.
