(EN) The Latin American Film Festival Reykjavík (LAFF-RVK) returns this September for its fourth edition, celebrating contemporary Latin American cinema with a special focus on women filmmakers. The 2026 program highlights Fernanda Tovar’s Sad Girlz, winner of two awards at the 2026 Berlinale, and Valentina Maurel’s Forever Your Maternal Animal, winner of Best Actress in Un Certain Regard at Cannes 2026.

(ES) El Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de Reykjavík (LAFF-RVK) regresa este septiembre con su cuarta edición, celebrando el cine latinoamericano contemporáneo y poniendo especial atención en el trabajo de mujeres cineastas. El programa 2026 incluye Sad Girlz, de Fernanda Tovar, ganadora de dos premios en la Berlinale 2026, y Forever Your Maternal Animal, de Valentina Maurel, ganadora del premio a Mejor Actriz en Un Certain Regard de Cannes 2026.

(IS) Kvikmyndahátíðin Latin American Film Festival Reykjavík (LAFF-RVK) snýr aftur í fjórða sinn í september og fagnar samtímakvikmyndum frá Rómönsku Ameríku, með sérstaka áherslu á verk eftir kvenleikstjóra. Á dagskrá eru meðal annars Sad Girlz eftir Fernöndu Tovar, sem hlaut tvenn verðlaun á Berlinale 2026, og Forever Your Maternal Animal eftir Valentinu Maurel, sem hlaut verðlaun fyrir bestu leikkonu í aðalhlutverki í Un Certain Regard á Cannes 2026.
