Kvikmyndahátíðin Latin American Film Festival er haldin í fyrsta sinn í Bíó Paradís dagana 19. – 27. nóvember 2022 í samstarfi við sendiráð Argentínu, Chile, Kólumbíu, Venesúela, Perú og Mexíkó.
Kvikmyndin Grjótið (Kólumbía) verður sýnd laugardaginn 26 nóvember kl 19:00 en hún fjallar heim boxara, El Piedra sem vinnur fyrir sér í bardögum þar sem vitað er fyrirfram að hann eigi ekki eftir að vinna.

Boðið verður upp á dýrindis rétti sem Cocina Rodríguez hefur sérhæft sig í, að sýningu lokinni. Þar er um að ræða hefðbundna smárétti frá Dóminíska lýðveldinu sem allir ættu að prufa. Einnig verður boðið uppá kynningartíma frá Bachata Reykjavík; allir sem vilja koma og prufa eru hvattir til þess að grípa tækifærið. Sérstakir drykkir frá Kólimbíu verða á tilboði á Bíóbarnum.

The Latin American Film Festival is held for the first time at Bíó Paradís on November 19th -27th 2022 in collaboration with the Embassies of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Mexico.
The Columbian film “El Pieda” (The Rock) will be screened on Saturday November 26th at 19:00.
Reynaldo “El Piedra” Salgado is a boxer from Cartagena who lives working as a “bait”: he fights without having the chance to win. One day, Breyder appears; A boy eager to box who claims to be his son. The father and son learn to live together. Reynaldo finds someone who makes him feel useful again, and Brayan learns to admire the father who makes sacrifices and not the supposed champion. A different glance over the “sport of flat noses”: not the stars, but the middle class; not the hero, but the worker. No the idol, but the man.

Bíó Paradís will have the honour to offer the first Dominican Republic night with Bachata Reykjavík and Cocina Rodríguez who will be offering traditional food from Dominican Republic. An introductory class will be given by Bachata Reykjavík and there will be a demonstration by the students; everyone who wants to come to practice and or initiate in the rythms of bachata, this is the great opportunity. Special Colombian drink at the bar will be available.
