Sosai X ferðast í milljónir ljósára til að komast til jarðar og býr til stökkbreytta ofurmennið Berg Katse. Eina von jarðar eru fimm unglingar sem geta hreyft sig eins og skuggar. Þeir eru Gatchaman, fimm ofurhetjur sem ferðast um í geimskipinu „Godphoenix“ .

A Weekend of Japanese Magic for Children and Youth

Sosai X traveled millions of light years to reach the planet Earth and creates a mutant Berg Katse. 30 years later he is the leader of the terrorist organisation known as Galactor. Earth’s only hope lies with five teenagers who can move like shadows. They are Gatchaman, five superheroes who arrive in their spaceship “Godphoenix” to stop Galactor’s Machiavellian plans of world domination.
